British driver goes for the record of theory test failures
One particular British motorist is apparently going for a very strange record, having failed his car theory driving test a total of 107 times, and is still trying to pass. The 28 year old London citizen has spent over £3,000 in exam fees at £31 each time he tries. This is a one hour test with 50 questions, and he needs to get 43 right answers, which he has failed to do so far.
There is also a hazard perception test which requires a 44 out of 75 mark in order to be admitted. Before anyone can pass the driving test, they must first complete this part of the evaluation, which the unnamed individual has failed to do.
So far, the driving test has resulted in a 40 year old trying 37 times before passing, but this latest case may be the craziest so far. A driving school instructor said that it was the highest number he had seen before, but that everyone learns at their own pace.
