Kenny Agustien the star of the Swansea City football team will not be able to drive for a year as he reached 39 points on his driver’s license. Agustien, aged 26, received five counts of failing to identify himself as a driver and one count of speeding at court proved by his absence earlier in the month.

The midfielder already had six points against his license and on April 10th the magistrates in Neath gave him another 33 for the current offences. This totals up to 39 points making him 27 over the banning limit which is usually set at 12. On September 17th of 2012 magistrates in the court had heard that Agustien broke a speeding limit in Swansea.

In addition, what really got him in trouble was that he failed to identify a driver on five different occasions throughout last year. Therefore, he received one count for each occurrence which happened on October 29th, November 19th, two separate occasions on November 26th and then again three days after this event.

Failing to identify driver means that an accident or injury occurred in which the owner of the car, in this case Agustien, was asked to identify the driver of the vehicle at the time of the event. He choose not to provide the driver’s identity on all six occasions. It can also occur after a traffic offense.

Outside of losing his driving privileges for a year, Agustien also was ordered to pay a fine of £3,135 and to pay for the court costs that were incurred which totaled up to another £510. Since Agustien joined the Swansea club in 2010 he has been held back by repeated injuries. Previously he played for AZ Alkmaar.
