First virtual motor show takes place in the UK
The Telegraph Festival of Motoring is the first virtual motor show to take place in the UK. Last year over 14% of all the money that was spent on new cars came from Telegraph readers and so the British newspaper decided to launch a special show just for their readers.
The Telegraph offers a standalone supplement for those that just want to read about motoring, and therefore it is only logical that would be the first to push the boundaries about how to educate readers about the new innovations in the motoring world. Their aim is to help people stay up on the current trends digitally since almost 94% of all car buyers in the UK now head online at some point during their research stage prior to purchasing a new car.
In fact about half do not even step into a showroom until it’s time to make a purchase. Another 75% had to the dealer website, manufacturer website, or search engine to check out a car instead of just heading out to the dealer to look at various models. As a result, the Telegraph announced its new Festival of Motoring that will take place online for a week.
Registration to the event is open to anyone and is completely free. By heading to the website viewers can see many manufacturer stands that offer the opportunity to download brochures or to book a test drive of the vehicle at a nearby lot.
In addition, live support will be on hand to answer questions as you have them but no one will be campaigning to you about the merits of the car. Experts are also scheduled every day of the week to host thirty minute interactive web chats for those that want to hear from designers, manufacturers, and more on the history and future of motoring.
